Web poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the house and of course all of the other gamblers attain five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the wager is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a sum equal to the initial wager. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays out cash even with your bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
