Poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you must either make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
