Poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players receive five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pays out chips even with your bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
