Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the west in a fantastic game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the house, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete against other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to be concerned about any other, more knowledgeable individuals winning their cash.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game play, novices can take their time and plan without having to make frenzied selections.
It is also much simpler to gamble on for an extended time with basically a tiny amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the house receives 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
