Mrs. Duke mightn’t have won her first WSOP Bracelet until 2004 but she remains one of the most feared poker players at the cash games at The Bellagio in sin city. Annie’s longawaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha hi lo.

While competitors from the "younger crowd" of poker go wild following a huge win at the tournament, Annie heads home to be "mom" to her four kids. She grew up in New Hampshire and raised into a family of card players. If you don’t believe that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has captured her cut of difficult tables, which includes knocking out Howard a few times along the way. They’re both players that have the ability to capture the large bucks and do so with a smile.

Mrs. Duke is a strong competitor at any table considering that she is a real poker player, but it’s a bit more than simply being good at the game. Annie is extremely smart and graduated from Columbia University where she took a double major in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from her at the table you’ll see Annie Duke is there to compete in the game and she begins "summing" you up from the time you approach the game table. If you cannot play like a winner, then do not waste your time.

Winning over 3 million dollars in tournament competitions, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both the UltimateBet poker room and actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to enhance his abilities and become a force at the tables.

You might see her at the Bellagio, you will observe Annie on TV and you might even play against her in a net poker match, but don’t anticipate an easy win. Unless you are a camp-in-the-making, you won’t beat her. Although, it would be exciting to mention you sat at the at the table with "The Duke".
