Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s first card, you have to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with an amount equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your bet and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
