Online poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, including a figure equal to the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up chips equal to your bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
