Internet poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus an amount equal to the original bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pays out money even with your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
