Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is often times seen as one of the most complicated but well-loved poker variations. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus a sum equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pays out cash equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
