Online poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other players are given 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes directly to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum on par with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash even with your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
